Annual Reviews

Each year, from about Nōema through to the end of Maehe, Parliament’s select committees check on the performance of government organisations over the previous year. These annual reviews take into account the previous financial year (that’s the year ending 30 Hune), and what has been achieved with any funding it administers. The reviews can also examine the organisation’s current performance.

The Annual Review 2019/20 detailed on this page covers tamariki or children in care and the youth justice system including there being fewer tamariki or children in care, a reduction in disparities and a significant shift in how we work with iwi/Māori.
